由於日本槍枝管制良好，加上優勢經濟發展，使得日本以86.89的高安全值拿下最安全國家冠軍。香港則位居第3名，其安全值為83.43，犯罪率比美國和歐洲國家還要低。
一向被視為治安模範國家的新加坡，安全值僅有80.02，位居第10名，據信其低犯罪率有賴於嚴刑峻罰發揮效用。歐亞國家喬治亞算是黑馬，其安全值達80.43，名列第7。
衝突不斷的中東地區，則有阿拉伯聯合大公國（81.99，第5名）及巴林（80.21，第9名）上榜。歐洲小國馬爾他和盧森堡各以81.46和81.25的安全值，分占第6、7名。南韓則以82.60的安全值，位居第4名。
